Sitting Room Sole Plates

This is last major part of sole plate repair - a nice straight run of sole plate and a couple of posts which have rotted away along the front of the cottage.

Below you can see the first post repair and the second one on its way - just in the process of cutting back to some decent oak before the new oak post is spliced in.

This is the last piece of sole plate being lifted and test fitted. Once it looks like the adjustments are completed, its taken out, cleaned and lifted back in one last time.
