
Rear Wall brickwork repairs
A few photos to show progress this week on the rear wall. When we originally cleared the garden we found a stack of the original Fletton bricks in the overgrowth and I'm pleased they've finally come to good use. This has been tricky because the brickwork I have to match to on the right is neither straight or level so it took a while with tape measure, strings, plump bobs etc to figure out what lines I was going to work to. More repairs to the frame
Before the new oak frame is raised I have to repair the back wall as I wont be able to access it once the frame is up. To say it needs a bit of attention is an understatement!. The whole left hand side needs bricking now that the old lean to has been removed. The right hand side has been pretty well knocked about when the flat roof extension was put on. Oak Frame Finished
The new green oak frame is now finished, and stacked up in storage, ready to be raised sometime in July. The last job on the frame was to pair up and cut all the common rafters (28 pairs I think).
